Made this with fresh-picked apples (and homemade applesauce) while on a trip to Maine. Absolutely incredible! Sweet and decadent! (I skipped the eggs, because I'm allergic, by the way, and still turned out wonderful - more than enough binder/moisture from all the apples).

Holy moly! I’m not a sweet person, and I think this is my favorite cake. I substituted cinnamon applessauce (and about 50g less sugar) using what we already had in the house. Thanks for creating this recipe! ❤️

איזה טעים - Best dairy-free substitutes for the milk and cream? I was thinking orange juice for the cake and coconut milk or coconut cream for the sauce in the same quantities. Other suggestions? Thanks !שנה טובה ומתוקה
