You know already that pita is my favorite bread, this is just another type of pita. Made with a little bit of olive oil in the dough, grilled, and not attempting to create a pocket. This pita we stuff on top like a taco. Ohhh YASSS.

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl add the water, yeast, and sugar. Mix well.

285 ml water

10 gr dry yeast

15 gr sugar (or 10 g honey)

Step 2

Add the flour and mix until you get a homogenous dough. Then add the salt and olive oil, knead them until completely dissolved in the dough.

500 gr white flour

10 gr salt

25 ml olive oil

Step 3

Keep kneading the dough on a working surface for an additional 10 min, until you get a smooth sexy dough.

Step 4

Round the dough to a ball, place it in a bowl, covered with a towel, and let it rest until double in size.

Step 5

Then- punch the dough and divide it into 140-150 gr pieces. Round each of them into a tight ball and let them rest, covered with a towel, for about 10-15 min.

Step 6

Bake the pitas on a preheated pan until you get a nice color on one side, then flip it and do the same for the other side.

Step 7

Do you not need to roll them first with the rolling pin before baking in the pan? Maybe I missed something.

Nice easy recipe that makes great pitas! Great with labne and honey, baba ghanoush or stew.
